Do You Have Heart?

Yesterday I wrote an e-mail on "the fastest route to success". This email recieved alot of positive feedback.

I wrote that e-mail because I have noo time whatsoever for those that don't what to be the best they can be.

See when I take on a new client, they have to want it, becasue if they don't than really what is the point? I can try to push them, motivate them, but if the effort is not there than the are wasting my time and their time.

See you have to commit yourself to wanting it. Paying the price of success. Everyday my goal is to make my athletes better than they were yesterday.

Do you think it is easy? We both know that it is tough to train and prepare, to extract every ounce of potential out of your body.

But that right there is the difference between success and failure, making the team and being cut, achiveing your goals. It takes heart.

Heart I can't teach you or give you. Some of us have it, other wil not. Some of us have it and have not been pushed to the point of finding it. What about you?

My Secrets of Combine Training Manual I released last week has opened alot of eyes thus far. It does not only enhance your combine performance, increases your athletic ability, it teaches you what hard work really is. It is demanding no dubt about that. But when you have completed the 8 week program, you will feel like you have never felt before.

See what the buzz is all about.

Preparation Is Vital

Had some great news today, as one on my clients got signed with the Miami Dolphins. It had been hard for him so far this year, being the last cut by the Dolphins in training camp, then not knowing what would take place in the uncertain world of the NFL.

One thing I stressed to him was preparation. No doubt it was hard for him to stay motivated and keep the desire burning inside. He kept himslef physically prepared, training, lifting, running, catching when he did not know if or when the call would come.

The same things goes when preparing for a combine or tryout. You may find out in two days that some team is holding a tryout camp, or there is a NFL scout testing some players in your area. If you are serious about playing at the next level, you have to be prepared all the time.
The time to prepare is NOW. You will never know when the call will come.

Weight gain is god or bad for the 40 yard dash?

I often get athletes that come to me looking to get bigger, with no mention of maintaining or enhancing their speed. Recently I picked up a ten pound plate and asked an athlete how fast he could run with the plater strapped to his back? He laughed but in all honesty when athletes try to bulk up, their speed, more specifically their acceleration, usually suffers.

So what can be done?

Well gradual lean muscle weight gain is suggested as opposed to rapid weight gain. This allows the body to adjust to the weight gain and maintain their speed. Rapid weight gain slows the body down, decreases flexibility, and ultimately inhibits the fluid movement patterns of the athlete.
So next time you are addicted to gaining muscle, think to yourself that you are an athlete, you need to build athleticism first as muscle is slowly added to the body. You need to Stretch to make sure that the muslces can move through a full range of motion. A balanced body of speed and lean muscle is what we are after. Both size and speed can be achieved, it just takes time to do it right.

Remember building a solid foundation takes time, hard work and dedication.
If you are looking how to develop speed, look no further than "Mastering the 40 Yard Dash" manual which has a knockout 30 day speed training program that will give you that drive and acceleration you have been longing for.

45 Degrees to Speed

45 degrees to speed you ask? He must be crazy! When speed training the angle of your body plays an important part in you running a 4.4 sec. 40 yard dash or a 5.2 sec. 40 yard dash.
With a proper forward body lean you are able to achieve a power triple extension of the ankle, knee and hip joint aloowing you to explode with each stride and accelerate explosively. Sounds good doesn't it?

45 degrees is what it is all about. Now go try it.

For drills to enhance your forward body lean, accelerate on over to http://www.procombinetraining.com/h/m2/default.asp?lang=&nCategory=421

Time is ticking. for you to improve your 40 yard dash.
